RSE Update – March 26, 2014

As of this past Saturday (March 22, 2014), work is officially underway on completing Latino Rosario’s album. The album is already recorded, this is more about putting the finishing touches on the songs and getting the final mixdowns ready for mastering. No ETA for a release date right now, but I would expect it early-to-mid June.

I have also agreed to come out of retirement (or whatever this is) for one more song. Depending on how it works out, I will either decide to continue making music or move on entirely. Only time will tell!

I also plan to remaster Joey Tee & Pica: The Split EP, again. I’ve never been happy with the way it sounds and if I am going to re-release it, I might as well try to get it sounding better before sending it off for distribution to all of the digital stores.

I recently rediscovered a remix of “Give Me” by Joey Tee that was intended for the 2010 remaster, but I decided against including it because I didn’t like the way it sounded. As it turns out, I had been listening to the wrong version! There are also a handful of previously unreleased* songs by Pica and/or Joey Tee that I will probably add as bonus tracks.

If you already own the Joey Tee & Pica album, I don’t expect anyone to buy it again. I think that would be a shitty thing to do. So, if you can provide me with proof that you legitimately own either the 2009 original non-mastered limited edition CD-R or the 2010 remaster that is currently still available for digital download, I have no problem sending you the 2014 remaster, including any new bonus tracks, as either FLAC or 320kbps MP3 files.

More information when the remasters are done and ready to be submitted for digital distribution.
